Paris Green * Dreaming of June * Dimitri's Rail
Paris Green - (Houston, TX) Paris Green's Buzz-friendly blend of "funk, rock, blues, reggae and hip-hop" began in high school in The Woodlands in the late '90s. Since then, the quintet's "melodic riffs and thought-provoking lyrics" have found them sharing stages/on opening slots with everybody from Journey, Def Leppard and Blue October to 2 Live Crew and Slim Thug. The band also has a regional and even national touring base, with upcoming shows spanning from Mississippi to the Valley. Meanwhile, their loyal fan base from New York to Florida will just have to wait. - Hpuston Press
Dreaming of June (Houston, TX) Dreaming of june is the result of four guys playing music that they really love into one cohesive unit. Formerly 2ndhandsolution, doj has developed their sound and show around the basic idea that the music bring out emotion of some kind. Shows are few so catch one if you can before we get really busy. EP on the way.
Dimitri's Rail - (Houston, TX) "Lead singer, Paul Ehmer was nominated for Male Vocalist of the Year at the 2004 My Texas Music - Texas Music Awards. It's no wonder. His golden pipes are just part of the formula that's working for Dimitri's Rail. The first reaction to the music of Dimitri’s Rail is an eagerness to hear the entire disc. Their use of dynamic difference is refreshing, while still holding true to their alternative rock style. Flawlessly produced by the band along with Steve Christensen and John Kostelac, “SEASONS OF THE WEAK” is a fabulous foray of acoustic and buzz, capped by moving lyrics and welcome melodies. “Finding” is an outstanding cut, with its use of every talented direction of this band’s travels, and Kristi Fike’s violin. There are no fillers on this disc as every track is energetic, well-performed and expertly written. Spend an afternoon browsing Top 40 radio, rock radio, or any music video channel and you won’t find a better sound. Creed, Staind, and Linkin Park take notice as you might just get run out of town on Dimitri’s Rail." - My Texas Music
